Social Media and the Internet

Why do you primarily use the internet? Do you have to do research and discover new things on it? Or are you a social butterfly who loves to stay connected to people at all times? No matter why you use it, the internet is an incredibly powerful tool that has come a long, long way in the last decade or so. Better yet, it keeps getting even better and faster which makes sharing and learning easier than ever. I have to use the internet for my job, but I’ll be honest with you here, I love the internet because of social media.

Social media has made it impossible not to stay in contact with people and friends. I love it too because sometimes it is hard to visit with family as much as you would like. Last time I flew out to see my mom I had to turn around and come home because my adt security in connecticut detected some kind of intrusion. It is so wonderful to be able to get on Facebook and see how my family is doing across the country or to just send a simple email out to people that I miss. Yep, it is safe to say that I am a social media junkie.

If you could see what I looked at throughout the day, it would look a little like this: Facebook, Pinterest, blogs, blogs, Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Facebook, Gmail…and so on. So if you are constantly itching to check your social media sites, no worries, you aren’t the only one. Check out just how many people are doing it.
